In conventional production, paper is typically printed, rewound, moved to another machine, slit to the desired width and then cut into sheets. Each additional stage adds to material handling, labour requirements, setup time and the possibility of registration or cutting variations.
The Four Colour Flexo Printing Machine with Slitting Sheet Cutter makes these operations a coordinated inline process. The paper roll is unwound, printed through four colour stations, dried, slit into the required widths and cut to the specified sheet length.
This integrated arrangement is suitable for manufacturers producing printed packaging paper, wrapping sheets, bag-making sheets, food-service paper and other converted paper products.
Designed for Accurate Print-to-Cut Production
Accurate printing is not enough where the finished product has to be delivered in sheets. The printed pattern, slit position and cutting length must be coordinated during the entire production. Irregular web tension or movement of material might disrupt colour registration and result in variations in the size of the finished sheet.
