Paper Plate Lamination Machine with Slitting Attachment
Online Lamination and Precision Slitting for Ready-to-Convert Paper Rolls
Our Paper Plate Lamination Machine with Slitting Unit laminates paper with suitable PE film, metallised film or aluminium foil and splits the produced web into narrower rolls in the same production process.
The online slitting system removes unnecessary edges and makes rolls in widths suitable for various disposable plate, dona, bowl and food-tray manufacturing needs. Integrated processing means less secondary handling, and it assists producers in providing consistently produced paper plate raw-material rolls.

Engineered for Lamination and Inline Width Conversion
The raw material for paper plates is commonly prepared in large rolls to improve lamination efficiency. However, other plate forming machines and/or product sizes may require narrower rolls. Rewinding the complete laminated web and transferring it to a separate slitting machine adds material handling, labour and production time.
The Paper Plate Lamination and Slitting Machine performs both these operations in a synchronized production line. The paper and chosen protective layer are unraveled under controlled tension, aligned, and bonded tightly together. The laminated web then enters the slitting section, where adjustable knives divide it into the required widths.
Individual slit webs are guided toward the rewinding station and converted into accurately wound finished rolls. This system allows firms shift directly from raw-material manufacturing to storage, supply or further conversion.
Designed for Consistent Roll Width and Edge Quality
Proper slitting is vital because uneven roll width and jagged edges might cause feeding problems during later processing. Incorrect knife position might also result in extra trim waste or damage to the laminated surface.
The slitting attachment is provided with adjustable cutting knives which are adjusted to the desired roll widths. Stable tension keeps the web flat as it passes through the knives, while controlled rewinding prevents loose rolls, telescoping and uneven roll formation.
The machine can be set to do edge trimming and multi-width slitting during production. It is suitable for manufacturers who need laminated paper rolls in several sizes or supply raw material to different paper plate manufacturing units.
Why Paper Plate Raw Material Needs Accurate Slitting
Paper plate makers employ diverse dies, shaping presses and feeding ways of the material. If the roll is broader or narrower than the specified size, trim waste increases and feeding interruptions or issues in plate production can occur.
The finished width can be controlled immediately after lamination using online slitting by the manufacturer. Because the material remains in a single production flow, the tension and alignment can be controlled without unloading and reloading the parent roll.
The Paper Plate Lamination Machine with Slitting Attachment is particularly useful for raw-material providers that produce multiple roll lengths. Edge trimming improves the commercial appearance of the finished rolls and adjustable knives allow the production set-up to be changed according to customer orders.

- Controlled Heating System: Provides suitable and adjustable heat for compatible thermal lamination structures.
- Uniform Lamination Pressure: Maintains consistent bonding between the paper and selected film or foil.
- Online Edge Trimming: Removes damaged or uneven outer edges to improve finished-roll quality.
Frequently Asked Questions
The number of finished rolls depends on the parent-web width, required slit width, knife arrangement and rewinding configuration.
Yes. The machine can be configured to laminate paper with metallized film or suitable foil and slit the finished material into the required widths.
A slitting attachment divides the web lengthwise into narrower rolls. A cutter separates the web across its width to produce individual sheets.
No. It produces laminated and slit paper rolls. Separate plate-forming machinery is required to manufacture finished plates, donas or bowls.
Yes. Slitting knives can be arranged to remove unwanted outer edges and improve finished-roll quality.
Yes. Knife positions can be adjusted within the machine’s design limits to produce different finished-roll widths.
Can the slitting width be adjusted?
Depending on the configuration, the machine can combine paper with PE film, metallized film, suitable aluminium foil and other compatible materials.
It is an industrial roll-to-roll machine that laminates paper with film or foil and divides the finished web into narrow rolls using an integrated slitting section.
