Polyester DG Lacquer Coating Machine
Flexible Silicone Coating System for Standard and High-Precision Release Paper Manufacturing
The Polyester DG Lacquer Coating Machine is for coating polyester film with a thin, even layer of DG lacquer. The surface coating is suitable for controlled release and subsequent metallizing, colour coating or hot-stamping procedures. Stable rolls of coated polyester with minimum wrinkles, coating variation and solvent retention are achievable for manufacturers due to precise web tension, accurate transfer of lacquer and regulated drying.

Engineered for Controlled Lacquer Application on Polyester Film
Polyester film requires careful handling during lacquer coating since uneven tension, high heat or unequal coating transfer can harm the full roll. Common production problems include film stretching, wrinkles, coating lines, poor release behaviour and residual solvent.
The Polyester DG Lacquer Coating Machine is engineered to control these parameters throughout continuous production. The PET film is unwound under regulated tension and guided accurately into the coating section. A precision coating roller deposits a controlled layer of DG lacquer full width of the web as required.
After application, the coated film is sent through a multi-zone drying chamber. Controlled temperature and airflow gradually remove solvent or moisture from the lacquer without exposing the film to sudden or excessive heat. It is cooled and rewound under stable tension to produce an aligned finished roll. This controlled procedure prepares the polyester film for later metallization, colour coating, adhesive application or hot-stamping foil conversion.
Designed for Stable PET Film Handling and Coating Quality
Polyester film is dimensionally stable, but if tension and temperature are not properly coordinated, it might develop wrinkles or coating flaws. The controlled web movement from the unwinder to the last rewinder is maintained by the machine.
Depending on the viscosity required for the lacquer and the coat weight, the coating machine can be fitted with gravure, reverse gravure or application roller arrangement. Precise roller alignment enables uniform transfer, while a doctor blade eliminates excess lacquer and maintains a clean coating profile.
Drying settings can be set to the line speed, coating chemical and film thickness. Balanced exhaust helps remove evaporated solvent from the chamber and prevents it from settling back on the coated surface. The rewind portion guarantees roll hardness and edge alignment for better handling in later production steps.
Why Controlled DG Lacquer Coating Matters
DG lacquer is used as a release layer between the polyester carrier film and the transferable coating structure in hot-stamping foil manufacture. It influences the cleanness of separation of the decorative layer from the PET film in the process of stamping.
A layer that is too heavy can impair adhesion for future coatings, and insufficient or uneven lacquer can result in partial transfer. Drying is particularly necessary since remaining solvent may cause blockage, odor or surface instability during roll storage.
The DG Coating Machine for Polyester Film manages lacquer transfer, drying and web tension in a single, continuous operation. This provides producers with a stable base roll for the next stages of manufacturing and minimizes rejection due to varying release performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
This machine performs the DG release-lacquer coating stage. Additional colour coating, metallizing, adhesive coating or embossing processes may be required for complete foil production.
An automatic edge-guiding system can be provided to maintain PET film alignment throughout coating and rewinding.
Yes. It can be configured for compatible solvent-based lacquer systems with a suitable drying chamber, exhaust arrangement and electrical safety provisions.
The film passes through a controlled hot-air drying chamber. Multiple zones can be used to remove solvent gradually without overheating the polyester substrate.
Yes. Coating weight can be controlled through gravure-roll selection, doctor-blade adjustment, lacquer viscosity, roller speed and line speed.
Yes. Web tension, roller pressure, drying temperature and machine speed can be adjusted to process compatible polyester film thicknesses.
Gravure, reverse-gravure or a suitable roller-coating arrangement can be used depending on lacquer viscosity, required coat weight and production speed.
DG lacquer creates a controlled release layer between the polyester carrier and the coatings applied above it. This enables the decorative layer to separate from the PET film during hot stamping or transfer.
A Polyester DG Lacquer Coating Machine is an industrial roll-to-roll system that applies DG release lacquer onto PET film for hot-stamping foil, transfer foil and speciality coated-film production.
