Paper Cup Material Slitter Rewinder Machine
Designed for Accurate Slitting of Paper Cup Stock and Bottom Rolls
Our Paper Cup Material Slitter Rewinder Machine is used to transform large rolls of PE coated paper into correctly sized final rolls required for paper cup production. It may prepare coated paper for processing of cup sidewalls as well as thin bottom-feed reels required by automatic cup-forming machines. Controlled tension, accurate web guidance and clean cutting enable uniform rolls with low paper wastage.

Engineered for Pharmaceutical PVC Roll Conversion
For paper cup manufacturers, rolls of different width are needed for printing on side wall, cutting blank and feeding bottom paper. Improperly sliced material can generate dusty edges, coating damage, web misalignment and irregular feeding on downstream equipment.
The machine unwinds the PE coated paper under regulated tension and keeps the web properly aligned before it reaches the slitting area. Knives accurately placed split the master roll into the desired widths. Each finished roll is then rewound with controlled pressure to preserve uniform roll hardness and straight edges.
Our Paper Cup Material Slitter Rewinder Machine can process plain, printed, single-side coated and double-side coated paper, depending on the desired configuration. It is suitable for paper cup manufacturers, coated-paper suppliers and contract paper-converting units.
Designed for Clean Edges and Reliable Blister-Line Performance
The machine is designed to handle two important paper cup material requirements. For sidewall material, it converts wide coated or printed paper rolls into widths suitable for printing, flexographic processing and fan-blank die cutting. Stable web handling protects the coating and printed surface while maintaining the dimensions required for efficient blank production.
When configured as a Paper Cup Bottom Slitting Machine, it produces narrow PE-coated paper reels that feed into paper cup forming machines. The cup machine punches circular bottom discs from these reels and seals them with the cup walls.
The slitter does not directly manufacture circular cup bottoms. It prepares the accurately sized bottom-paper rolls required for continuous cup forming.
Clean Slitting of PE-Coated Paper
PE-coated paper is paper coated with a thin layer of polyethylene that can be heat-sealed. This structure should be handled carefully during slitting. Incorrect blade pressure can crush the edges, damage the coating or generate excessive paper dust.
The PE-Coated Paper Slitting Machine adopts a proper knife arrangement according to the GSM of the paper, the coating structure and the finished width required. Sharp knives and stable paper movement ensure neat edges without excessive tearing.
Controlled rewinding prevents loose layers, telescoping and uneven reel formation. Properly formed rolls are easy to handle and enable stable feeding during printing, blank cutting and paper cup production.
Why Paper Cup Material Needs the Right Slitting Process
The paper cup stock has to maintain its coating integrity and its width accuracy and edge quality throughout the production run. Poorly slit rolls can lead to web wandering, paper dust, uneven blanks and frequent machine stoppages.
For the production of paper cup bottoms the roll width has to be adapted to the feeding requirements of the cup forming machine. A reel that is too wide or uneven can create excess trim and inconsistent bottom discs. A roll that is wound loosely may telescope during storage or fail to feed correctly.
The Paper Cup Bottom Slitting Machine maintains stable tension, clean cutting and uniform rewinding. This improves the quality of the roll and helps ensure reliable production of leak-proof cups and food containers.

Key Features
- Multiple-Roll Production: One wide master roll can be divided into several finished rolls during a single production cycle.
- Uniform Rewinding: Controlled winding pressure produces straight, compact rolls that feed smoothly on downstream machines.
- Clean Edge Formation: A suitable cutting arrangement minimizes crushed fibres, uneven edges, coating damage and excessive paper dust.
- Electronic Web Guiding: The web-guide system corrects sideways paper movement and maintains accurate alignment before slitting.
- Controlled Paper Tension: Regulated tension keeps the paper flat and stable while reducing curling, wrinkles and web breakage.
- Accurate Finished-Roll Widths: Precisely positioned knives produce the widths required for paper cup sidewalls and bottom-feed reels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Knife positions and finished-roll widths can be adjusted according to the paper cup size and forming-machine requirement.
Yes. Automatic tension control can maintain consistent web tension as the unwind and rewind roll diameters change.
Sharp knives, correct cutting pressure and stable web movement minimize paper tearing and help create cleaner edges.
Yes. The same machine can process both applications when its slitting and rewinding arrangements support the required roll widths.
Yes. Controlled tension and web guiding help slit printed rolls while maintaining alignment and reducing surface damage.
It can be configured for single-side PE-coated paper, double-side PE-coated paper, printed cup stock, PLA-coated paper and compatible food-grade barrier-coated papers.
No. The machine slits and rewinds the paper into narrow rolls. The paper cup forming machine later punches circular discs from these bottom-paper rolls.
Yes. With the appropriate knife and rewinding configuration, it produces narrow PE-coated paper rolls used as bottom-feed material in automatic paper cup machines.
A Paper Cup Material Slitter Rewinder Machine cuts wide master rolls of coated or printed paper into smaller widths and rewinds them for paper cup sidewall and bottom-roll applications.
