Aluminium foil lids are widely used for sealing cups, trays, tubs, jars, and containers. These lids must perform perfectly during heat sealing while maintaining a clean peel and protecting the packaged product.
From practical manufacturing experience, stable lamination is what determines whether a foil lid seals properly or creates rejects during conversion. This machine is designed with that objective in mind. Every roller, drive, and tension system works together to keep the laminated structure stable throughout production.
The result is better-quality laminated rolls that are easier to print, die-cut, emboss, and convert into finished foil lids.
Production Process
The production process starts with the supply of aluminum foil and appropriate sealing film onto independent unwinding sections. The web tension control is maintained separately for each material prior to feeding the lamination area.
In the laminator, the layers are pressed against each other in order to form a reliable and even bond between them over the whole width of the web. After lamination, the web goes to cooling rollers where its structure is stabilized and finally rewound to master rolls.
The rolls can be further utilized in the printing, die cutting, embossing, or foil lid making process depending on the client’s technology.
