3 Roller & 5 Roller Paper Silicone Coating Machine

Flexible Silicone Coating System for Standard and High-Precision Release Paper Manufacturing

3 Roller & 5 Roller Paper Silicone Coating Machine This machine is used to apply silicone uniformly on release paper, glassine paper, CCK paper, kraft paper and label liner. For normal manufacturing, manufacturers can opt for a three-roller design or, for finer coating control and premium release-liner applications, a five-roller configuration. The two models combine accurate silicone metering, robust web handling, regulated curing and accurate rewinding for reproducible industrial output.

Engineered for Consistent Silicone Release Coating

Reliable production of release paper involves precise silicone pickup, metering, transfer and curing processes. Too much coating increases silicone and manufacturing costs. Not enough or inaccurate silicone coating will cause difficulties when trying to release labels and other products from the liner.

Two coating options are available in the 3 Roller & 5 Roller Paper Silicone Coating Machine in order to address different needs of various production operations. Three-rollers option is used to deliver precise silicone coating of the regular release paper. Five-rollers option uses several metering stations for thin and accurate silicone coating.

Roll-to-roll production process is implemented in both configurations. Web of substrate is unwound at a controlled tension, coated by silicone, cured in the drying unit and wound up in a perfectly aligned finished roll. Machine width, coating, drying and automation can be adjusted depending on the substrate, silicone type and production capacity.

Designed for Standard and Premium Release-Liner Production

Release-paper converters may generate different grades of material in the same factory floor. Standard silicone coverage may be required for baking paper and general adhesive liners. Glassine label liners and specialty adhesive materials require tighter control of coating weight. The combined machine range gives manufacturers the option of the coating arrangement which is best suited to their finished product. In the 3 Roller Paper Silicone Coating Machine, independent pickup, metering and application rollers manage silicone deposition onto the substrate.

The 5 Roller Paper Silicone Coating Machine adds more roller contact points. These progressively improve the silicone film before it reaches the paper, supporting tighter coating control and less fluctuation across the web. Accurate tension management keeps paper flat throughout the operation. The control of heat and air flow cures the silicone layer without excessive curling, brittleness or surface damage. Regulated rewinding then generates compact rolls suited for slitting, printing, adhesive coating and label conversion.

Why Accurate Silicone Metering Matters

The silicone coating should be constant over the whole width and length of the paper roll. Uneven layer can lead to different release values in the same roll and can cause label tearing and difficult peeling or adhesive transfer during conversion.

The roller arrangement controls how much silicone reaches the substrate. A three-roller system gives reliable control for regular production, while a five-roller system meters silicone in progressively to make a thinner, more uniform film.

Curing is equally crucial. If the silicone is under-cured it may rub off or block or transfer in storage. Excessive heat can curl the paper or reduce its strength. Coordinated machine speed, temperature and airflow help achieve stable release properties without damaging the substrate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the machine be integrated with a slitting unit?

An online slitting or trimming arrangement can be considered according to the production speed and required finished-roll sizes.

Can both sides of the paper be coated?

A standard configuration generally coats one side per pass. A two-station or double-side arrangement can be provided when both surfaces require silicone coating.

Can the machine process solventless silicone?

Yes. It can be configured for solventless silicone and other compatible formulations according to the required coating and curing process.

Which substrates can be processed?

Depending on machine configuration, it can process glassine paper, CCK paper, kraft paper, PE-coated paper, baking paper and other compatible speciality papers.

Which model should I choose?

Choose the three-roller model for regular release-paper and baking-paper production. Select the five-roller model when producing premium glassine, CCK or label liner requiring tighter coating consistency.

What is the difference between the 3 Roller and 5 Roller models?

The three-roller model uses pickup, metering and application rollers for standard controlled coating. The five-roller model adds progressive metering stages for finer coating-weight control.

What is a 3 Roller & 5 Roller Paper Silicone Coating Machine?

It is a roll-to-roll industrial machine range used to apply a controlled silicone layer onto paper for producing release liners, label backing paper, baking paper and adhesive protection materials.
