Engineered for High-Speed Lamination and Process Control
At production speeds of up to 350 MTR/MIN, it is important to have precise control of the web tension, adhesive coating and nip pressure. The machine is designed to ensure a constant flow of material through the coating and laminating sections, decreasing the possibility of creases, web deviation and irregular bonding.
A precision adhesive metering and coating device dispenses a controlled amount of solventless glue onto the substrate. The coated web is then combined with the secondary substrate at the laminating section under controlled pressure and process conditions.
Independent control of critical operating parameters allows the machine to meet different films, laminating structures and production requirements. The final laminate is rewound under controlled tension to generate compact and consistent rolls for future converting procedures.

The Solventless Lamination Machine can turn various types of flexible packaging substrates into multi-layer laminate structures. Depending on the specified machine configuration, it can process compatible materials such as BOPP, PET, CPP, PE, metallized films and aluminium foil.
In operation the leading web goes through the adhesive application device where the needed amount of solventless glue is dosed and delivered to the substrate with high precision. The coated material is joined with the secondary web through the laminating nip and subsequently rewound.
This technology is well established for the production of laminated structures needed in food packaging, snack packaging, confectionery packs, personal care packaging and other flexible packaging applications.

Solventless lamination uses 100% solids adhesive systems that do not require solvent evaporation during the laminating process. This removes the need for the large drying section normally associated with solvent-based adhesive coating and can reduce energy requirements related to drying.
