Engineered for Printing on LDPE Films
LDPE is very flexible and light weight which makes it more difficult to print on than rigid materials or paper. Too much web tension can stretch the film and upset the printing cycle, while too little tension can create creases, registration issues and uneven rewinding.
Our LD Film Printing Machine controls the substrate from unwinding to final rewinding. Consistent printing pressure helps transfer ink consistently without harming the film, while the drying mechanism eliminates solvent before the web enters the next colour station.
This coordinated method enables continuous printing with controlled material travel, lower process variance and well-formed finished rolls.
How the Machine Works
The LDPE roll is loaded on the unwinder and threaded through the web guide and tension control systems. The film next enters the first printing station, where an etched cylinder transfers the specified colour and design onto its surface.
After each colour is printed, the film passes through a drying section before entering the next printing station. Registration controls keep the artwork in one position during the multi-colour production.
The final LD film is rewound under regulated tension after printing and drying. The printed roll can subsequently be utilized for slitting, bag manufacture, laminating or another converting operation.
Consistent Multi-Colour Printing
All printed colours must be perfectly in register for multi-colour packaging designs. Any little stretch or lateral movement of LDPE film might impair text, graphics and registration.
The machine can be equipped with motorized registration, automatic tension control and an electronic web guide. The systems allow the operator to control print location and movement of the web during manufacturing.

Why Proper Surface Treatment Matters
Untreated LDPE has low surface energy, which can hinder ink from attaching correctly. Poor treatment can result in poor adhesion, faded print or removal of ink during handling and converting.
Before printing, the film should have an acceptable surface-treatment level for the specified ink. Film treatment, ink viscosity, drying temperature and printing pressure must be balanced to obtain durable and uniform results.
The buyer should submit a real film sample so that its thickness, treatment and printing behaviour may be assessed before the machine is finalized.
