Engineered for Premium Textured Paper Production
Regular paper might suffice for meeting the strength and printing properties requirements; however, premium usage requires special attention to the development of unique surfaces that can be seen and felt by the customers. Imbalanced roller pressure, incorrect feeding or incorrect depth of patterns leads to weak patterns,
paper damage and poor finishing. Paper Texture Machine offered by Mohindra Mechanical Works is a solution for creating unique patterns that will not affect the basic characteristics of the material. Precise texture rolls guarantee even pressure, which ensures high quality of patterns along the full width of operation.
Paper Texture Machine, also known as Paper Graining Machine or Paper Embossing Machine, creates linen, leather-like, floral, geometrical or custom patterns. The machine is easily adaptable according to the customer’s needs (roll fed or sheet fed material).
Designed for Consistent Surface Texture and Pattern Clarity
The quality of textured paper is determined by the combination of roller design, embossing pressure, thickness of the material, and paper feed control. If too much pressure is applied, then it might cause damage to thinner paper, whereas if not enough pressure is applied, then there would not be any texture on the surface.
The system enables the operator to control the pressure, roller spacing, and speed depending on the type of paper being used and the amount of texture that needs to be created. Proper alignment of rollers ensures even distribution of pressure and helps avoid heavy and light textures.
It is possible to obtain customized rollers depending on the appearance, repeat pattern, and usage of the products. Optional web handling systems are available if required for a certain application.
Why Paper Texturing Needs the Right Roller and Pressure Setup
Every grade of paper behaves differently under pressure conditions. The thin paper can be torn or wrinkled when the gap between rollers is narrow, whereas thick board paper needs more pressure for producing an obvious pattern.
The coated paper can also crack on its surface due to wrong choice of pressure and roller temperature. The right combination of Paper Texturing Machine provides proper balance of pressure, movement, and depth of pattern. The texture roller should be selected in accordance with the thickness of paper and the kind of finishing desired from its surface.
Mohindra Mechanical Works analyzes customer’s sample paper, GSM, width, production form, and desired texture pattern before selecting the appropriate machine configuration. This customer-specific approach leads to cleaner patterns and higher consistency in texture paper production.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. It is suitable for producing decorative textured paper used in wedding cards, invitation cards, envelopes and premium stationery.
Correct pressure and roller settings help protect the paper surface. Material trials are recommended for delicate coatings, inks or laminated finishes.
Yes. The machine can be manufactured in roll-to-roll or sheet-fed configurations depending on the production requirement.
Can it process both paper rolls and sheets?
It can produce linen, leather-like, fabric, wood grain, floral, geometric and customized decorative patterns.
The machine can process uncoated paper, coated paper, cardstock, paperboard, laminated paper and other compatible specialty papers.
Both machines use pressure and patterned rollers to modify the paper surface. A Paper Texture Machine generally focuses on continuous decorative or grain finishes rather than registered patterns aligned with printed artwork.
A Paper Texture Machine uses engraved or patterned rollers to create decorative, grain or tactile effects on paper, paperboard and compatible materials.
