Sheet-to-Sheet Engraving Machine
Designed for Controlled Embossing and Precise Texture Formation on Individual Paper and Board Sheets
The Sheet-to-Sheet Engraving Machine produces crisp and identical designs on single sheets of paper, paperboard, laminated boards and other packaging substrates. The machine’s precision-fed sheet feeding system, its variable embossing pressure and rollers all make it possible to achieve consistent finishes without unwinding and rewinding roll material.

Engineered for Accurate Individual Sheet Embossing
Proper alignment of finished sheets is very important as it helps to avoid the production of skewed impressions, non-uniform edges or margins, and inconsistent placement of the pattern. In addition, the thickness of the material may differ from batch to batch, which influences the depth of embossing.
Sheet-to-Sheet Engraving Machine by Mohindra Mechanical Works has been specifically designed to process individual sheets of paper and board. During the processing, each sheet moves through the engraving section where the selected pattern is printed on the surface of the sheet using precise rollers. This machine serves as an effective solution for manufacturers who need to work with cut sheets of material rather than rolls.
Designed for Controlled Feeding and Uniform Sheet Finishing
Sheet embossing requires proper alignment prior to feeding the material through the rollers. An incorrectly aligned sheet could end up having irregular borders or even lacking any embossing along the full width of the sheet. High roller pressure could destroy the board, while low roller pressure would leave an unclear or incomplete impression.
The Sheet Fed Embossing Machine has a well-guided sheet feed line and consistent roller pressure settings. Sheets cut from the board are fed to the machine and aligned before being rolled through the embossing rollers. The chosen pattern will be embossed on the sheet with appropriate roller pressure settings.
The settings of the machine may be changed based on sheet thickness, pattern depth, and other features. Different roller shapes and heating options are possible in case special surface treatment is required.
Why Sheet Materials Need the Right Engraving Process
Unlike the continuous roll, each individual sheet should be loaded into the embossing roller at the right position. Skewing of the sheet, edges that are not uniform in their thickness and length could result in misalignment of the pattern during embossing.
Proper design of the Sheet-to-Sheet Embossing Machine includes the use of sheet guiding, pressure control, and alignment of the rollers. This enables various sizes of sheets to be processed. Before designing the machine, Mohindra Mechanical Works assesses the sheet size, material thickness, type of the desired pattern, and production quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it can emboss printed sheets with continuous or general textures. For precise alignment between the print and embossed design, a Registered Embossing Machine is recommended.
Yes. Interchangeable engraved rollers can be supplied for geometric, floral, linen, leather-like and customized patterns.
Yes. The pressure and roller gap can be adjusted according to sheet thickness and the required impression depth.
Yes. The working width and feeding arrangement can be designed for different minimum and maximum sheet dimensions.
It can be configured for paper, cardstock, paperboard, laminated paper, coated sheets and selected packaging materials.
A sheet-to-sheet machine processes separate pre-cut sheets. A roll-to-roll machine continuously processes material supplied and collected in roll form.
Yes. Engraving describes the pattern formed on the machine roller, while embossing describes the raised or recessed texture transferred to the sheet. Both terms are used for this machinery.
It is an industrial machine that transfers an engraved or embossed pattern onto individual pre-cut sheets of paper, board or other compatible materials.
